Tabasco sauce and health benefits

Tabasco is the trade name for a bottle host sauce that originated around 1870 and is made from Tabasco peppers.

Tabasco sauce can increase body metabolism and make body fat far more efficient at burning calories, therefore helping with weight loss.


One of the key compounds in Tabasco sauce is capsaicin. Capsaicin, the chemical that makes chili peppers hot may improve the liver’s ability to clear insulin from the bloodstream after a meal.

It is also used in pain neuropathy to reduce inflammation of damaged tissues and nerve endings.
